1- Ensure your font has been unzipped and installed in your PC. If you are unsure how to do this, you can find the tutorial2- Open a new file. Select the text icon on the toolbar. Type your text.3- Select Edit in the right toolbar, and select your font in the dropdown box (or type the font required in the dropdown box to locate it)4- Click on the font and your text will change on your design space.5- Select Character Map app on your PC (you can do a search on your PC if you are unsure where it is located.)6- Once Character Map is opened Select the font you are using from the drop-down box.7- Ensure the Advanced box is checked. You will see the Character set appear, in these drop down boxes, go to ' Group by' and select ' Unicode Subrange.

A second window will appear.8- In the new window scroll down to the bottom option and select ' Private use Characters' This will access your Glyphs in the Character Map window.9- Select the Glyph you would like to use in your text by clicking on it (1). Then click on the Select button (2), then click on the Copy button to copy the glyph (3).10- Click back onto your original page with the text on it. Edit your text by removing the letter you will be replacing with a glyph.11- In your text box right click and paste your copied glyph in. You will see a square box appear in your text box, this is normal. To open special font characters in Cricut Design Space, start by adding some regular text to the canvas.NOTE: You must pick a font that has special characters or glyphs such as the which we exclusively offer free with a commercial use license.Then pull up the “character map” on your computer. You can put this in your computer’s search bar to find it easily.Pick the font you want from the drop down. Then check the “advanced view” to access the special characters and glyphs. You will see another pop up box.Scroll until you see “private use characters” and click. You will then see your special characters in the character map.Click the one you would like to use.Ensure that the letter is highlighted in the “characters to copy” box then copy.Paste it into design space over the letter you want to replace.
